The Aquabit Berlin gallery has been given a decorative façade constructed from disposable plastic pallets. Inspired by the repetitive ornamentation in architecture, the artists explored the relationship between ornament and function. With recourse to Adolf Loos [Ornament and Crime, 1913], they pose anew the question of ornament as an obstacle to cultural development. The focus is on recycling culture and its ability to transform functional form into pure ornamentation.
