The expansive installation Forst, was developed for the exhibition The End of The Fucking Work. „Green pipes rise from the floor to the ceiling and disappear from the viewer’s gaze into a black nothingness. The gallery is simultaneously figuratively extended outwards and appropriated inwards. The difference between forest and woodland is deliberately used here: the forest as an industrialised cultivation area of people, in which they use trees to produce wood and extract its nutrients from the soil, differs in many ways from the woodland. A contrast is emphasised: trees and green surroundings can be read as a symbol of leisure – the forest made of pipes in the installation is at the same time reminiscent of an infinite machine room.
